Fourteen weeks, fourteen unforgettable tales. Short stories from China, Iran, Turkey, Al-Andalus (Spain), Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Mali, Syria and more. From the clever Kantchil of Indonesia to the wisdom of Rabia al-Basri, from the castle of Cordoba to the storytellers of Mali, children travel the Muslim world one story at a time, reading, discussing and creating together.

What your child will do 

• Pre-read a short story · Discuss it in class · Do fun team activities - storyboards, debates, role plays · Build language skills, hone thinking, develop literary appreciation while cementing Islamic values through the power of storytelling .

Prerequisites & important points to be noted. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ENROLLING

• Fluency in reading, writing & speaking English is compulsory.

• Classes are mixed gender.

• Assignments must be completed prior to each class. 

• Use of AI for homework is prohibited. Our stance: AI messes kids' brains and PREVENTS learning. 

• Tech requirements: Laptop/ tablet (no mobiles), mics, headphones/ excellent network, printer, Zoom, Google Classroom/ Word processor. Any tech issues have to be handled by the parents at home. 

• It is mandatory to have cameras on during the sessions.

• Please - no helicopter parenting 😆. Let the kid enjoy the class without a parent hovering nearby. So, please have the kid attend from a quiet undisturbed space in the house.

• This is a class on stories, not fiqh. There may be aspects in stories that may not align with the fiqh you follow at home. That makes for rich discussions between parents and kids, but those discussions cannot be held in class.

• Classes are not recorded.

Fees

• • US$150 per child. Non-refundable & non-transferable. The fees are exclusive of transaction costs, which must be borne by the payer.  Unfortunately we are not able to offer sibling discounts.
